EP Premiere: “Slow Motion” by Jimere

Jimere is a Toronto based artist, who normally fronts the hard rocking band Starfall, but is releasing some solo music to explore new and exciting avenues of his creativity. In the past we have featured Starfall’s music on our debut episode of Contra Zoom, and we hope to feature Jimere’s music too!

“Sometimes we know the end result of something that is happening before it’s come. Despite our intentions, the slow burn that is consequence creeps up on us & we have to own it. It’s become significantly important to me to try my best when I believe something is worth fighting for. To exhaust my devotion till there’s nothing left. It’s sort of self destructive.
This EP is an ode to my pride, my efforts, & my independence. I did it all by myself & wrote a ton of songs & the chosen ones revealed themselves to me through a series of hardships. A couple of these songs were written for my band Starfall, but didn’t quite make the cut. They haunted me for a while & I gave them time to grow & finally finished & reworked them.”
