World Premiere

Album Premiere: “Nature Girl” by Scotty Hills

Vancouver Island based singer-songwriter Scotty Hills’ new EP Nature Girl, comes out this Friday, February 24th, but we have the exclusive premiere in advance. It is the follow-up to his 2013 album A Year Of Septembers. Hills explores new territory on Nature Girl, taking things in a bit of a new musical direction.

“On Nature Girl, I played with elements of classic country, soul ballads, progressive folk, and acoustic blues, I also did some experimenting with my songwriting. And as result, there is a lot of strong, personal lyrics, unveiled by the arrangements, lush strings, and a wide, dynamic musical landscape. Nature Girl is a more reflective departure from Year of Septembers, and is definitely a theme unto itself. My first album may have been more about being stuck in a moment, whereas Nature Girl is largely sung from a mountain top, seeing more forest and less trees.” -Scotty Hills

Nature Girl will be available on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and other digital retailers and streaming services on Friday, February 24th. Scotty Hills will be playing a couple of shows on Vancouver Island around the release of Nature Girl, including a show on release day at Providence Farm in Duncan, BC. Hills will be heading out for a Western Canadian Tour later this spring, full details to be announced soon.
