“Sleep Walk is really a state of mind where your half asleep and functioning only on primal instinct in the physical world. On this album we wanted to explore the sub-conscious and who we actually are behind our daily masks, so the subjects of sleep and dreams continually pop up as themes on this album.”
“While Sleep Walk still has definite elements of rock and pop, the album is much more electronic based than our previous release, with more synthesizers and electronic drum samples. We were listening to a lot of bands like The Cure, Depeche Mode and New Order which I think really rubbed off on us. We were also very inspired by old cinema like weird David Lynch films. In so many of Lynch’s films, reality and dream sequences are blurred to such an extent that sometimes you’re not sure where one ends and the other begins. Sleep Walk deals with this concept musically.” – Anthony Ludgate of Beautiful Nothing
