From The Artist : “We recorded “Vacation” just before heading on our summer tour last year. We decided to bring a camera along with us to film as much as we could to try and capture a little bit of the journey. We ended up with a ton of footage that we filtered through and pieced together the music video for “Vacation”. We hope you enjoy!”
West Hammock is a three-piece indie-rock band from Oshawa, Ontario that consists of Hunter Sheridan on guitar and vocals, Sean Thornton on keys and vocals, and Ty Callan on drums. The band released their debut WANDERLOST EP in 2017, which encapsulates the spirit of exploration and self-discovery through catchy melodies and a solid rhythm section. The release of their debut EP enabled them to self-fund two cross-Canada tours, won them a spot as a finalist in the Merriam Music Awards, and gave them the opportunity to share the stage for sold out shows with The Strumbellas, The Trews, Shred Kelly, Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace, The Kents, Fast Romantics, The Wooden Sky, Scenic Route to Alaska, The Elwins, Jared & The Mill, Wild Rivers, Texas King, David Beckingham of Hey! Ocean, Joey Landreth, Jane’s Party, Kalle Mattson, and many more.
In the summer of 2017, West Hammock embarked on a cross-Canada tour to support the release of their debut EP, “Wanderlost”. Along the way the band filmed their journey and accumulated hours of footage that was compiled to make the music video for “Vacation”.
“Vacation” will be available for streaming and downloading everywhere on March 7th, 2018.
West Hammock’s music is a blend of indie – rock meets folk, a sound that is current, combined with a band that is committed, resulting in an entertaining and memorable performance.
