From The Artist : “Futuristic, fresh and funky, ‘Creatures’ combines intention, invention and introspection in six sleek and soulful songs. Enjoy!”
Cosmonaut Radio planted its roots in Brooklyn in 2010 and has since stretched its branches across the country with its innovative sound, incorporating vibrant melodies and rhythmic complexities. Turning the bass up to eleven, the band requests that you let the funk and your heartbeat intertwine, creating a musical infusion fueled by Led Zeppelin, Jameson shots, and the ever-expanding universe. Growing and changing from both personal experiences and the capricious nature the current global environment, the songwriting has both structurally and thematically evolved, running the emotional gamut from joy to heartache to several spots in between.
Over the last two years, the guys behind Cosmonaut Radio (Russell Castiglione on guitar, Austin Deyo on drums, and Freddy Millan on lead vocals) have worked together to reshape and rework their sound into something new, groovy, and tight. Having now played venues ranging from the historic Central Saloon in Seattle to rapidly growing annual events such as the Brooklyn Music Festival in New York City, Cosmonaut Radio even tried its hand at creating its own scene last summer, hosting the first ever MiNI (Music in Nt h Installments) Fest, a DIY music festival featuring the combined talents of many of the friends and connections the cosmonauts have made along their musical journey. With the highly-anticipated second annual MiNI Fest rapidly approaching, a new EP with a new sound releasing, and musical voyages both domestic and abroad in the works, who knows what could possibly be next in store for Cosmonaut Radio?
