The Honda Indy roared into Toronto this weekend large crowd wasn’t disappointed as Scott Dixon won the 82 lap race 5.2 seconds ahead of 2nd place finisher Simon Pagenaud in the Chevrolet, and Canadian Robert Wickens, a resident of Guelph finished 3rd.
The race was full of bumping, blocking, and some sliding into the wall that made the big difference and lead change as Pagenaud hit the marbles and slid into the wall, letting Dixon pass for the lead and eventual win.
For the 37 year old Dixon, it was his 3rd win in Toronto tying him with some big names like Will Power and Dario Francetti with 3 wins each and behind Michael Andretti who owns 7 victories in Toronto. Dixon has stretched his lead in the standings to 62 points over Newgarden.
