From The Artist : “Here Comes My Love deals with the advent of feeling and how we navigate it; the graces and liabilities of caring deeply. Music is such a great emotional platform — in creation and reception. It doesn’t always solve our life, but it certainly brings relief. Kate Fenner and I have grown up making music together — which fused our friendship and plays a role in every facet of our lives. This is a song behind that music.”
“Here Comes My Love” is one of the songs from Hugh Christopher Brown’s critically acclaimed record Pacem. The official video, directed by Sean Michael Turrell, features Brown’s long time collaborator, Kate Fenner, on vocals.
Born and bred in Toronto, multi-instrumentalist and music producer Hugh Christopher “Chris” Brown was one of the primary singers and songwriters for the alternative rock band Bourbon Tabernacle Choir in the 1980s and 1990s and when that band broke up, he continued performing as a duo with his Bourbon bandmate Kate Fenner. Chris has also performed with and/or recorded for many stellar artists including Ani DiFranco, Joan As Police Woman, Barenaked Ladies, Ashley MacIsaac, Jenny Whiteley, Crash Test Dummies and more. A passionate social justice activist, Chris founded the innovative Pros and Cons program at Joyceville Institution where he continues to run music workshops and produce music with the prisoners.
