It was quite a blow for me. Even though she said it was trash and she didn’t want to go back to him, the damage had been done and I wasn’t able to get past it to really continue things.
I find the best way to let things go is to put them into words, so “LAB” was born as a way of turning that fucked up thing into something beautiful.
“LAB” isn’t about a happy ending, but it provided a cathartic experience for me through its creation.
