Take A Listen To Local Natives’ New Single “April” + Get The Details For Their Upcoming Album

Local Natives announce their sixth studio album, But I’ll Wait For You (out April 19 via Loma Vista Recordings)

But I’ll Wait For You is a culmination of nearly two decades of brotherhood, and a mantra of reassurance in response to relentless changes. In a statement about the album, Local Natives said “But I’ll Wait For You is the companion piece to our 2023 release Time Will Wait For No One. Maybe not an answer to a question but an exhale to an inhale. There is so little that’s in our control but among all this chaos, we can choose to be there for each other.”

The album showcases the band’s seminal harmonies as well as an adventurousness that explores new territory for Local Natives. It’s accompanied by single April, a driving and yearning track with pristine harmonies that comes with a playful, cinematic video inspired by Francis Ford Coppola’s film, The Conversation. Directed by Jon Chu, the one-shot video culminates in a scene of the band performing a choreographed dance in LA’s Pershing Square.

But I’ll Wait For You is now available to pre-order here.
