The annual idobi Radio Summer School Tour made it’s very first Canadian pit stop at The Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto on Saturday night.
The tour also teamed up with nonprofit Save The Music Foundation for a third consecutive year. This meant that for every ticket sold on this year’s tour – which began on June 19 in San Diego – the idobi Radio Summer School Tour will donate $0.50 to Save The Music Foundation to help in their vision of empowering students, schools, and communities to reach their full potential through the power of making music.
From their overall mission to their ongoing partnership with Save The Music Foundation, the idobi Radio Summer School Tour has always emphasized giving back to the young fans and communities that fuel our local music scenes. In that spirit, the tour had announced the introduction of a new initiative for this year’s run. For the first time, the idobi Radio Summer School Tour welcomed one local act for an opening support slot on each date, shedding a light on the incredible regional music scenes within each city.
The Toronto stop featured Honey Revenge, South Arcade, Winona Fighter, Games We Play, Chase Petra, and local act, Drives The Common Man.
