Luke Spiller has announced the release details of his forthcoming debut solo record, Love Will Probably Kill Me Before Cigarettes and Wine, set to arrive on 4/29. The album pre-order is now live alongside the Brit rock frontman’s latest advance track, “The Ending Is Always The Same,” courtesy of Big Machine Rock.
The new single tells the story of an ill-fated love that feels like a vice. “It’s a classic scenario where you decide to break things off, but step into the murky waters of ‘let’s be friends,’” Spiller says. “Then, before you know it, you’re hooking up and getting back together and going through the cycle again.” But is the protagonist addicted to the drama of it all? Does it make him feel alive? “It’s a song that comes with a warning label,” he adds, “Don’t try this at home.”
