The Script at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre

Photographs by Matt Klopot.

Co-headliners of the Native Summer Tour were alternative rock band, The Script. The combination could not be any better. Just like OneRepublic, the Irish-based group enjoyed success on the music charts with songs like “Breakeven” and “For The First Time”. It has been awhile since The Script performed in Toronto, so they brought on the nostalgia with “Good Ol’ Days”. In their best pub singing voice, the crowd sang along to every song, which made the band feel welcomed. The highlight of their set was when lead singer Danny O’ Donoghue called a fan’s ex-boyfriend and performed “Nothing”. At the end, he asked the crowd to say “goodbye a–hole” to a poor confused Patrick. Their set ended like a true champion with “Hall of Fame” which included Danny running to perform to those on the lawn.
