West Hammock is an indie-rock band hailing from Port Perry, Ontario who’ve made their mark on the music scene in cities spanning across Canada. Today marks the release of their second album “Wanderlost” and to celebrate, they’ve teamed up with Current Sessions Productions at Manantler Craft Brewing in Bowmanville to release an extra special session.
West Hammock’s interesting mix of indie-folk and rock lends itself perfectly to this reimagining of the Chet Faker classic “Gold.” Vocalist and Guitarist, Hunter Sheridan, writes “We chose the cover because we were interested in approaching the song acoustically while still maintaining those digital aspects of the original version. Manantler Craft Brewing gave us a great setting to shoot in and really helped capture the feeling that we were going for.”
Tonight the band will be performing their album release concert at The Moustache Club in Oshawa, Ontario alongside another Current Sessions favourite Rory Taillon & The Old Souls and Toronto-based folk band Wild Rivers.
