Wayhome x Drake VIP Party

In preparation for the second annual Wayhome Music and Arts festival held in Oro-Medonte, one of the big partners The Drake Hotel hosted a very special VIP party at their bar and restaurant. Both last year and for this upcoming fest The Drake will be the main amenity provider to VIP guests, offering food, drinks, massages, personal shopping experiences and much more all in the high roller area at the festival. As a perk of buying the luxury ticket package you could get a taste of what was to come just over a month away. Guests were greeted at the door and given a fancy lanyard and free drink tickets, if you fancied a cocktail you could get your choice of two that were offered, one made with strawberries and one made with cucumbers (both gin based if I recall correctly) or you can get some Molson Canadian’s being handed out by some Molson girls.

There was also plenty of food, including some fancy make your own pork tacos, a buffalo chicken lettuce wrap and a salmon and rice cup. The food was both practical and gourmet, something festival goers will surely appreciate. There were also plenty of sponsors present giving away swag like Emu Australia and Top Shop. While it seemed like there were more industry insiders than actual VIP fest goers, but they were easy to spot as they were ones excitedly talking about bands that will be playing. Speaking of bands that will be playing, there was a special appearance by River Tiber an artist who will also be playing Wayhome. Upon leaving guests were given a swag bag courtesy of Top Shop including a coupon to use when shopping there. It was fun getting to meet and chat with people who were obviously very excited to attend the festival, and reminded us how close we are to the weekend in July that we descend up highway 400 to lose our minds to Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem and The Killers.

Be sure to see who we’re most excited to see at this years Wayhome!
