Casey McQuillen isn’t your typical pop singer/songwriter telling a sweet story about her love songs. Casey is a young woman with a message: you are not alone. She speaks about her experience with bullying. She speaks about her struggles with anxiety. She speaks about her desire to fit in.

McQuillen jumped into the national spotlight when she competed and earned a spot on American Idol’s Season 13. Throughout her time at Berklee, she created anti-bullying concert series called The “You Matter” Tour and performed the show in over 100 middle and high schools throughout the New England region.

“I wrote “Friends” when I was 18, after my first big breakup. Nothing hurts quiet like your first broken heart! A few weeks later, I used this song to audition for Berklee College of Music and was accepted, so I ended up with a pretty great silver lining!” – Casey McQuillen
