Toronto multi-instrumentalist Jordan B. Wright has performed internationally on recordings, tours and festivals with a variety of bands including The Cliks, Tara Slone and Random Order. Gigs have included such prestigious events as MIDEM, Pop Montreal, NXNE and the Pan Am Games Closing Ceremonies. JBW recently recorded two singles produced by Moe Berg (The Pursuit of Happiness) and engineer Rob Nation at EMAC studios in London, Ontario. The two tracks feature guitarist Tara McLeod (Kittie), keyboard player Lindsay Clark (Shiloh, Platinum Blonde), and drummer Nick Shao (Rvnners). This fall, Wright hits the studio with Berg and Nation to finish recording the full-length LP “Fireheart”. The title track showcases Wright’s ability to connect directly to the heartstrings. Sweepingly melodic and gorgeous in its widescreen ambition, ‘Fireheart’ is an accomplished window into the upcoming full length. An intimate indie-pop symphony, comfortable in both the bedroom and the stadium.
From the artist : “Fireheart is an anthemic song about relationships and the hopes of growing old together. The song echoes the desire for a future leaving behind past grievances as hearts mend. The dynamics build with efficacious drums, luscious guitar parts, blankets of keyboards, and opulent harmonies. At the end one can hear the guitar of vexation singing the melody imperturbably waiting for strife to pass and settle like water on the sand.”
