Artist Statement:

A few years back, I worked for a production studio making videos for kid songs, and because it was during the pandemic, we were only able to work with a green screen in our own bedrooms. In the back of my mind during this time, I thought about how I’d love to create a full-scale music video that reveals the actual green screen setup as well as the different backgrounds on the screen. When we play live we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and wanted that to come across in the video as well.

When I originally met up with Griffin O’Toole, who directed the video, we chatted through the idea of shooting during bad weather to bring our vision to life, but that proved to be challenging. We messaged my friend Andrew Rhodenizer to be the cinematographer and camera operator, and we all decided that the green screen route would be the most effective. We got the band on board to be actors and our friend Moosecanfly edited the video. And now we have the final product!
