Beady Eye at Sound Academy – June 20, 2011

English alt-rock group Beady Eye formed in 2009, several months after the rivalry between Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher reached a boiling point at a summer festival, presenting in Noel’s AWOL and the band’s dissociation. That fall, Liam and three of his earlier band mates — Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Chris Sharrock — booked recording time with producer Steve Lillywhite to start work on a another record, with plans to put out the first single through their new mimicker in November 2010. Different Gear, Still Speeding followed in early 2011, branding Beady Eye’s debut and earning affectionate reviews on both sides of the Atlantic. More photos after the jump!
