Matt and Kim, a band that consists of the members Matt and Kim. They have shown through their first big effort, an album known as Grand, that they are a band to be reckoned with (well, reckoned with flying food and bad sushi). Their music infuses Matt’s keyboard skills and singing with Kim’s back-up vocals and drumming abilities and creates sounds of sheer awesomeness. Their album was released on January 20, but I figured I should gives them their well deserved shout out by now. They have such a high strung tempo that would make anyone feel good.
They present themselves as a couple of rough but crazy beatniks from Brooklyn, New York and I find that their song style, being simplistic and fun at the same time makes each of their tunes catchy and enjoyable.
