Gainesville, Florida’s favorite punk band Against Me! played the role of openers for Silversun Pickups earlier this week. The band was in town in support of their latest release “White Crosses”; their fifth studio album. Against Me! was late to start, but played a strong albeit short set. With lots of energy and a bright lightshow Against Me! entertained the crowd and finally worked them into a bit of frenzy with “Stop” and “I Was A Teenage Anarchist”. The band have become so much more popular after having moved up to the majors with their last two albums. Talking to a few of their fans in the crowd many of them thought they should be headlining the show… maybe next time!
