The phenomenon known as House of Cards returns for a second season February 14, 2014 on Netflix.
Kevin Spacey and crew pick up where season 1 left off in the revolutionary online only TV original series. Personally, I think this show is absolutely brilliant. And it’s even won numerous prestigious awards to prove so such as the Prime Time Emmys and Golden Globes. As a self proclaims tech geek and lover of film and pop-culture, House of Cards is the perfect storm for the modern era of television.
The synopsis from the season 2 trailer below teases a little bit about the story arc and plot of the upcoming episodes.
Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) has masterfully maneuvered his way into the vice presidency, but his ascension faces threats on all fronts. Investigative reporter Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) is inching closer to the truth about Frank and Peter Russo (Corey Stoll) and will stop at nothing to break the story. And Frank’s wife Claire (Robin Wright), the newly appointed Second Lady, must deal with the bright glare of the spotlight and how the intense scrutiny eats away at their once private existence.
From the looks of it, the cinematography is absolutely top notch and the Vice President is up to his typical ways. I’m really glad that House of Cards is returning just when I thought all of the great television shows were done for the year.
Like the previous season, Netflix is going to be releasing the entire series in one shot on February 14 for streaming. Make sure to check it out!
