There is a really amazing event at Club108 in Mississauga happening on Friday April 4, 2014. And you need to be there.
Hollerado and The Junction will be headline an amazing rock show along with The North and Rival Boys.
“There must be nearly a million people in Mississauga. We have talented people like Ryan Tobin, Matt Zadkovich, Heather Brissenden, and Lucas Canzona who are breathing life back into Mississauga’s musical arts scene, and I think it’s high time Mississauga had a venue that was capable of drawing larger touring artists. We have venues for young, developing musicians to play shows and learn to perform. For those who are starting to gain traction and gain a following, they’re forced out of town if they want to start playing bigger shows.” says Farrell Tremblay, Programming Director.
The area has been plagued by a lack of venues over the last several years. While it’s seen that many local bands end up going downtown to Toronto to perform, things are about to change for the better.
“Club108 can provide the opportunity for those artists to play locally and take that step up to the big stage. On the other side of the coin, there are a lot of people in Mississauga who want to see bigger shows and I think they’d appreciate being able to do so in their own backyard, instead of traveling to Toronto, Hamilton or beyond. It’s a great space with extraordinary potential. I believe in Mississauga and I think, collectively, we are building something really wonderful here.” Tremblay explains.
Not only will this venue and direction reignite the music scene in Mississauga, but hopefully attract more international acts as well.
Do not miss this show!
