Sponsored: Iggy Pop brings designs to Sailor Jerry Clothing

Iconic clothing outlet Sailor Jerry Clothing, inspired by the tattoo artwork of Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins, is partnering up none other than punk rock legend Iggy Pop for a new collection. Iggy’s 2014 “Flash Collection”.

Mr. Pop admits that he was nervous about this whole idea as he has never designed clothing before. He collaborated with Sailor Jerry to produce a belt, belt buckle, embroidered patches and a denim vest. Nice and simple. After decades of rocking out as a musician, Iggy Pop (now a respectable 67 years old!) recently added ‘clothing designer’ to his CV with this collaboration. Only 50 of the personally signed black denim vests were made and they sold out insanely fast. The mash up between these two entitles is match made in punk heaven.

Sailor Jerry Clothing is known to team up with a different artist every year including the likes of The Clash and Gorillaz. And this year is no exception.

“A belt is such a nice accessory for a man. The way you wear it on your hips can say a lot about your intentions, but the way you wear it on your pants can do a lot to hold your pants up.” says Pop.

The belt Pop designed features a shark with the phrase “Death Shall Triumph”. The predator element makes this belt stand out instantly. The leather belt is beautifully punk and is hand-tooled and hand-dyed with a dark walnut stain. Be sure to pick these bad boys up as there are only 100 in existence.
