Dance party at The Garrison? Yes, please!
Thursday evening brought acclaimed electronic duo, Digitalism to The Garrison in Toronto. Comprised of Jens Moelle and İsmail Tüfekçi, Digitalism began making music in 2004 and have since released three full-length albums, including their most recent LP “Mirage” which dropped internationally on May 12th 2016. Toronto is one of many stops on the worldwide tour following the release of the album with dates dotting across Canada, Japan, Europe and the United States. This past Thursday, the indie-electro duo delivered their freshest material to Toronto.
Digitalism’s live set is filled with the kind of energy that is contagious. As 11PM approached and Digitalism hit the stage, The Garrison’s concert space was packed with a crowd of incredibly trendy concert-goers who were already all on their feet; warmed up by the Toronto-based RYME who opened up the evening.
Digitalism’s live show brought the kind of music that pumps through the speakers and dances in your chest. The majority of their set featured live vocals that delivered hook after hook of well-crafted melody and projections that moved in time to the music. The music pumped through the speakers with an intensity that radiated through the crowd.
The standout song of the evening was ‘Destination: Breakdown’ from their newest release ‘Mirage’. Want to hear more? Check out Digitalism’s newest release at www.thedigitalism.com!
