I will always remember the opening scene in the original animated feature as a kid. It gave me chills down my spine, and it still does. In a beautiful yet haunting fashion, fast-paced piano notes explaining how a prince became trapped as a monster until he finds true love. Beauty and the Beast is a film cherished by millions from all over the globe. And it is one of my favourite Disney films of all time.
That is why I was incredibly thrilled to be invited to the special preview of the Beauty and the Beast exhibit at Casa Loma in Toronto. The event celebrates the release of the live-action remake featuring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens opening on March 17, 2017.
I got a VIP first-look at the exhibit and checked out nine exclusive costumes handmade by Academy Award winning designer Jacqueline Durran. Guests were then treated to a plentiful amount of delicious food and drinks. A quartet with violin and cello in hand, beautifully filled the great hall with iconic scores from the film.
