Video Premiere: “My Kind” by T. Thomason

Having made a bright and infectious pop-rock statement on the 2014 album Columbus Field, T. Thomason has graduated to a higher level of lyrical incisiveness and hard-hitting sonic experimentation on sweet baby. In basic terms, it’s about leaving teenage angst behind and fully embracing who you really are.

From the artist: “I took time off music to do my personal life for about two years, and now figuring out my identity as an artist feels like the next step. I am definitely excited about the musical direction things are moving in, as represented by My Kind, and I think that is a huge part of this unfolding of identity.”

About the video: “My Kind was created by a team of the best up and comers in Halifax’s film community. It was directed by Koumbie (Studio Black, Hustle and Heart, Horizontal Concavity), produced by Taylor Olson (Hustle and Heart, Ariyah and Tristan’s Inevitable Break Up, Afraid to Speak), and shot/edited by Keith Mitchell.”

Their EP sweet baby, officially released on Coax Records, May 12
