I feel like I’ve barely put a dent into my Halloween Teas and now a slew of new ones have been released to get everyone ready for the holidays. First I was going to resist ordering any more as I have a container currently overflowing with packets of tea, but as soon as I saw Sweet Almond was back, I just had to place an order. So here I am, sharing another mini DavidsTea haul.
Sweet Almond
Notes from the website :
- Online Exclusive
- Organic Green Tea with medium caffeine
- Inspired by Italian Almond Cookies
First Impressions:
If you love almond extract, you’re going to love this tea. It was one of the stand out ones that I remember ordering when I first got into purchasing loose leaf teas. When you first drink it, the almond flavour takes a backseat to the green tea but afterwards I find the almond really hits your mouth as an after taste. But nonetheless, I still very much enjoy this one. A quick note is not to let it steep for too long if you don’t like bitter teas as I found steeping it for 5 minutes was too much.
Notes from the website :
- High Caffeine
- Chinese Black Tea with Peppermint leaves
- Candy Cane Sprinkles
First Impressions:
I found this tea not to match the description on the website. I thought it was going to be more like regular peppermint tea, but this one tasted very creamy and had hints of vanilla. When I first opened up the bag, the scent reminded me of the Cotton Candy tea that I had picked up earlier this year. I think I would have preferred this one without the vanilla, but it’s a nice change for every once in a while
Lemon Cayenne Cleanse
Notes from the website :
- White Tea with Low Caffeine
- Tart Lemon with a hint of Cayenne Pepper
- A spicy tea with subtle warmth that will leave you feeling fresh
- Leaving the website soon
First Impressions:
I haven’t steeped this yet, but upon opening the bag you can definitely smell the lemon and something that almost reminds me of pinesol? I picked this up as a recommendation from one of my friends who loves it, and it’s currently on sale for $3.98 / 50g
Notes from the website :
- Online Exclusive
- Medium Caffeine
- Black tea with rich notes of vanilla and cooked custard
- Made with pollinated vanilla for a stronger flavour
First Impressions:
Opening up this bag, it definitely hits as a vanilla custard and I couldn’t wait to brew a cup. Tetley’s Vanilla Earl Grey is my every day go-to tea, and this reminds me of it but with a stronger vanilla flavour. It’s super enjoyable and decadent.
