Diamond Weapon is officially back with their new single “Heaven In The Cold Clouds”. The track is the first look into what’s to come on “All Heart, No Sleeve” which will be released on November 10th.
On the new single, vocalist Louis Tentsos commented: “Heaven in the Cold Clouds was written at the height of the pandemic, when many of our friends were leaving Toronto as it was way too expensive, and with everything closed, no benefit to it. The story chronicles someone who gets sick of city life, society, and the feeling of being taken advantage of. They move off grid to a cabin in the woods to be alone and away from everybody else.”
Over the last couple of years, the band has gone through necessary internal shifts and commenting on how they got to where they are today – better than ever – Tentsos says, “With Stephen Maclean joining the band in late 2021, we had to alter how we wrote music together as a band a little bit. Fortunately, Stephen and Jason have known each other since high school and have written music in past bands before, so there was a bit of familiarity. As many of the songs were written mid-pandemic, most of the themes on the album are issues that were amplified by it – loneliness, heartbreak, social/planetary justice.”
