Music Video Premiere: “Guilty” – Nicole Rayy

Five-time CMA Ontario nominee Nicole Rayy is excited to be releasing the music video for her new single “Guilty” on February 28th. Today we are excited to be teaming up with Nicole to give our readers an exclusive first look at her new music video one day ahead of it’s official release!

Produced by Douglas Romanow (Kinnie Starr / Don Amero / Alessia Cohle) and written by Nicole Rayy, Douglas Romanow and Chrystal Oudijk, “Guilty” is a not so typical love song. The song paints the picture of a love so good it should be illegal, a love you are willing to go to jail for.

Directed by Aj Astle (Roadhouse Productions), the music video was filmed in Hamilton, ON at Millworks Creative Studios in their “Bunker” room which features jail cells to reflect the dark, moody and mysterious vibe of the video.

The founder of an all-female music festival HarmoniaFest, Nicole Rayy has amassed over 4 million career streams to date. As a five-time CMA Ontario nominee, she has received praise from country tastemaker press such as The Boot, Complete Country, and Top Country while enjoying continued DSP support via playlists such as Spotify’s New Music Nashville, Women in Country, Live Country and Best Country Songs of 2021 as well as Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Country and Just North of Nashville. Nicole has played festivals such as Hagersville Rocks, Dauphin’s Countryfest and Manitoulin Countryfest – and she’s even had the experience of performing at the World Music Festival in Shanghai, China.

Nicole has carved out her place in the country community by consistently creating initiatives to support fellow female artists including her #AllWomanMusic songwriters’ series and founding HarmoniaFest.

From The Artist: “This is my favourite video I’ve done to date! I had a specific vision for it, I wanted the vibe to be similar to the “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago and Roadhouse Productions made it happen!” said Nicole Rayy. “This was the first time I’d had the chance to work with a group of professional dancers on set. It was honestly such a surreal feeling watching them bring my song to life through movement. The choreography is perfect for the song and brings so much female power to the video. I hope my fans are ready for my spiciest music video yet!”
