Toronto based multi award-winning artist, DJ and producer, Haviah Mighty, has dropped her highly-anticipated new single, Double The Fun.
This the first new music from Haviah since last summer’s LP, Crying Crystals. Returning with a punch, like only Haviah can, Double The Fun is a theme song for the underdogs – the ones who have to work twice as hard for half the results; those who find beauty in the journey of challenges, those who never let the naysayers win, those who never let doubts prevail.
Haviah offers on Double The Fun: “I’m in an entirely new era, where I’m learning to listen to what my mind and spirit want. And celebrating all that I’ve accomplished, maximizing the validity of these emotions, and sharing this journey with other trendsetters in their own right… that’s what this song is. Double The Fun is underdog themed; when the winner is who you least expected. Creating a shift in the status quo. And enjoying every fragment of the physical world as I celebrate this realization!”
Double The Fun was executively produced by Amir Jamm and co-produced by Adrian Bellaire and Thabo. The new track is about maximizing potential and quite literally, doubling up on the things we love. The new single follows Haviah’s acclaimed summer 2023 LP, Crying Crystals, and Haviah’s history-making 2021 mixtape, Stock Exchange, which earned her a 2022 JUNO Award for Rap Album/EP of the Year – marking the first time a woman had ever won in a Rap Album category.
