Igniting a new era of their rock and roll journey, Chase the Bear is a Canadian rock band that’s all about the hooks. Hailing from Vancouver, the group’s newest single, “Shit Show”, now streaming everywhere via Rock Is Dead Records, is a punchy, rock anthem that hilariously turns life’s messes into something you can shout along to. With plenty of pop-punk edge, electric grooves and early 2000s nostalgia, the track’s gritty lyrics take inspiration from Wheatus’ “Teenage Dirtbag”, and The Beaches’ “Loner”. Produced and mixed by Danny Craig (Default), “Shit Show” is one for the ages.
“Shit Show is a song I wrote a couple of years ago. After getting fired from another job, I started to wonder if there was something legitimately wrong with me or if the universe was out to get me, but it just started to feel like I was not good at living life the way that I should be. My car was on its last legs and I had no money. All of the lyrics are literal anecdotes from my life,” says Connor Brooks (drummer).
Currently, Chase the Bear are on the road for their “A Bear Can Dream” headline tour across the Pacific Northwest. With 13 dates remaining the group’s next stop is Bellingham, WA. The tour will wrap in Seattle, WA on November 30th. Tickets are on sale now HERE!
