It was all sunny and warm in the wild west this past weekend at the Calgary Stampede. One of my long time dreams as a kid was to visit Calgary and to attend the world famous rodeo. As a Virgin Mobile Canada Member, this dream became reality when I had the phenomenal chance to attend the “the greatest outdoor show” on Earth!

A handful of lucky Members were given the ultimate VIP experience at the Calgary Stampede, including yours truly. The festival grounds was everything I had wished for. Cowboy hats, plaid shirts, giant turkey legs, and a cookie dough burri-dough (get it? burrito?).
During the day, I got to see the thrilling actions of horse back riding, sheep sheering, and people screaming at the top of their lungs zip lining across the entire festival grounds. It was a blast.
The real fun however, came in the evening. Virgin Mobile Member winners got tickets to see country music super star Luke Bryan as part of the Virgin Mobile Canada Concert Series at the Stampede. Members gathered at Nashville North for an exclusive VIP dinner with burgers, chicken skewers, corn, and all the other things you’d imagine country folk would eat. We got awesome swag like cowboy hats and scarves to complete our outfits.
After our hearty meal, we got a rare backstage tour of the Saddledome, one of the largest and oldest iconic arenas in Canada. That in of it self was a really cool experience. But then just moments before we got into our exclusive seating area, we were dropped a big surprise. Not also do we get to see this sold out concert, but we got to have a meet and greet with Luke Bryan! The look on everyones face just lit up! He is a down to Earth kind of guy, and he puts on one heck of a show. The night was full of his hit singles, and it would an absolute joy hearing everyone in the arena sing-a-long.
