Art by Jeen O’Brien
From The Artist : Like most of the other songs on this record, Debt is inspired by heartbreak and a desire to overcome it and to not be enveloped by it. You should be motivated by your lowest moments and be careful to not let them destroy you. The song is about loss and a desire to become something more than that. When you’re broken and at your worst, there’s only one way to go. Up. I took that very seriously during the period of writing these songs. It’s hard to hold onto that ideology when you’re feeling better, but it’s something I try to keep in the back of my mind at all times. I really wanted Debt to be a high energy song. Something that anyone could listen to and bob their head along. I want people to dance to this one and have fun with it.
After realizing he wasn’t cut out for music school, Gabe O’Brien-Szczesniak dropped out and created his first album. He’s now releasing his debut under the moniker Low Float.
The newest song from the album is “Debt” – an uptempo groove-driven track with a rhythmic drum loop
