Song Premiere : “Bloodshot” – Henry Chadwick

Henry Chadwick is back in action once again with his new single “Bloodshot,” out via all digital outlets today. Bringing his indie pop flare to your ears, his hypnotic and dreamy voice creates a unique and vibrant sound. Henry creates catchy, thoughtful and usually energetic music with a unique perspective, edge and charm, which is truly his own.

“Bloodshot” opens with Chadwick’s playful vocals which fits the lyrics and vibe of the tracks like a glove. Somehow always outdoing himself with every release, “Bloodshot,” is a memorable dream.

Currently based in Santa Cruz California, Chadwick has been making waves for the past few years with his critically-acclaimed debut EP, Guest at Home, and the follow up Marlin Fisher, which garnered the praise of Rolling Stone, Time Magazine, Huffington Post, Paste Magazine, Impose, Indie Shuffle and countless others. Often compared to the likes of Coconut Records, The Strokes and Mac DeMarco, his dreamy sound will make you fall instantly in love. Henry draws influences as much from music of the past (The Beatles, The Kinks, T-Rex, Nirvana, David Bowie etc.,) as he does from current artists who keep pushing forward stylistically and sonically.

“Bloodshot” is taken from his upcoming release out this Fall via Swoon City Music. Catch the track on all digital outlets today, and kick off your weekend right!

From The Artist : ‘I wrote the lyrics to “Bloodshot” on a plane ride home after attending and working at a NAMM convention in Anaheim a couple years back. The show is such a whirlwind of sights, sounds and conversations and it’s such a big party and also a lot of work. It’s a lot of fun but that year it also just felt like a lot. I remember being exhausted and recalling some conversations I’d had where I felt like I was sort of short-circuiting and coming across as a bit of a fool. I was feeling sort of lost and spun out and checking in with myself and reality after a week of overstimulation. It’s one of those songs that came out of me really quickly. I wrote the bulk of it all in the hour long flight from Anaheim back to San Jose. I know it’s new so I’m biased, but it may be my favorite song I’ve written and released yet. I’m really proud of how it all came out and I hope people enjoy it.’
