Silversun Pickups were at Sound Academy making their third Toronto appearance in since October of last year.  Just as well Toronto fans seem to have a love affair going on with this band and rightly so. The Los Angeles area band comprised of Brian Aubert (guitar, vocals), Nikki Monninger (bass, vocals), Christopher Guanlao(drums) and Joe Lester(keys) were in town again supporting their aptly named second full length album “Swoon”. I say aptly named because a Silversun pickups song will swoon from a euphony of hypnotic and dream like sequences to a delectible cacophany of angst ridden vocals and heavily distorted guitar. Silversun Pickups played another fantastically tight set that started off with “Growing Old Is Getting Old”, “Well Thought Out Twinkles” and moved on to include current single “The Royal We” and the explosive favorites “Panic Switch” and “Lazy Eye”.
