Everydog has its day and ever since being entered into a contest to be the first unsigned band to make the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine The Sheepdogs had a few good ones. The boogie rock quartet out of Saskatoon have now played at Bonaroo, appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show and will be the openers for Kings of Leon on their Canadian arena tour. In quite a short time they’ve achieved a whirlwind of popularity as evident by their clean sweep at the Casby Awards. The band won in all of the three categories they were nominated in: NXNE Favourite New Indie Release, Favourite New Album, and Molson Canadian Favourite New Artist. Other winners were City And Colour for Favourite New Single and Mumford & Sons for Favourite Edge Sessions. Fans got to see their Favourite New Artist The Sheepdogs play a set at the Sound Academy. Other performers were Hey Rosetta!, Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker, Bedouin Soundclash and Sam Roberts Band.
