A White Whale band is a band you love but for some reason or another you just haven’t gotten a chance to see them live yet. I asked a few of my fellow colleagues what bands they consider their White Whale acts. Maybe you didn’t know about them until they came through town, or they just don’t come to town very often. Sometimes you have conflicts at festivals preventing you your only chance to see an act for a while. This is the second of three playlists in this White Whale series.
Veteran acts- Bands that have been around for 5-15 years are considered pretty veteran acts. That means any band that formed around 2000 would be eligible for this category. You probably haven’t seen these acts just by sheer luck. You weren’t able to go to the festival they were playing at or Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, Kanye West and more are in this slot.
