World Premiere

Video Premiere: “Lonely Heart” by Dragonette

Dragonette returns to the scene four long years after their last album Bodyparts, with the tropical summery song with a dark core in Lonely Heart. The band most famous for its songs Hello, Big in Japan and Outlines is once again releasing a killer dance song.

In this music video lead singer Martina Sorbara has two overlapping super imposed shots of herself looking at the camera almost reacting to the words being sung as if she is thinking them up on the spot. She smirks, scowls, ponders, giggles, rolls her eyes, and shakes her head. The lyrics to the song flash across the screen in big white font as the background shots of Sorbara are in fuchsia and purples. While there isn’t official word on when the band’s third album will be coming out, we hope that this mean something is coming sooner rather than later as the world needs more Dragonette! Check out their upcoming tour dates below and buy the song HERE.

Sorbara says about the video: “Me and my BF Alison Honey Woods came up with an idea together for this lyric video. ‘Lonely Heart’ feels like a kind of mental replay, going over and over in your head all the details of the grit you’ve gotten into.” As the lyrics say, “Get back up and do it again.”
