Chrissy Spratt is a Canadian singer-songwriter who has broken barriers as an independent artist and has achieved over 5.5 million followers across her social media platforms. Her unique ability to adapt and learn cultural and complex dialects has allowed her to gain a continued viral presence within the pop and R&B music industry. Chrissy’s voice, which is often described as angelic, clear and pure, possesses an enchanting quality.
Today, Chrissy has unveiled her music video for “In Too Deep,” which was produced by Grammy Award winner Daramola (Danny Ocean, Kapo), and marks the first release from her upcoming summer EP. Think moody pop/R&B layered with amapiano rhythms and heartfelt storytelling — all tied together by Chrissy’s signature silky tone. The video for the song is an intimate, creative, choreo-forward piece filmed in New York – directed by actor/singer Pierre Marais with choreography by Justice Moore (Tyla, Doja Cat, Hamilton on Broadway).
Speaking about the song, Chrissy said: “For the music video, I wanted to do something out of my comfort zone. I’ve never really danced in my videos so I thought this would be a good way to challenge myself and show a different side of me. I did a lot of research to try and find the perfect choreographer and came across Justice Moore on Instagram. We really clicked after our initial conversation—it felt natural with her. She understood my vision and introduced me to Pierre Marais, who shot and edited the video. All three of us working together as a team felt effortless.” Both Marais and Moore are currently working together nightly in the Broadway production of Sunset Blvd.
